Playoff FAQs

Can I enter more than once?
Yes, each entry costs $20, so as long as you buy a ticket for the draw you can enter multiple times. If you plan to buy multiple entries, please ensure that you give each entry a different team name so that you can tell the difference on the results page.

How do I pick my team?
The simple way is to go to the Standings tab between April 11 to 15, press the Standings Tab and follow the instructions to pick online. You'll be able to enter a new team in seconds. Just put in your team name, e-mail, and use your ticket number as password. Make sure to complete before 9 pm on April 15th. You can also get picklists at our sponsors or under the entry tab.

How many players do I pick?
You must pick 21 players, one player from each section. In the Playoffs all players will be counted.

How can I find my team in the Standings?
Simply press Ctrl F and the search box will appear. Put in the first few letters from your team to highlight your team. Press Enter to tab through the teams with similar names.

Where can I see the standings?
The results will be accessed through the website, www.megahockeypool.com, the standings will be updated each day.

Is my personal information protected?
All of the personal information (emails, addresses, credit card info, etc.) will be kept privately by the Rotary Club of Kamloops Aurora. The information will not be sold or passed along to any other parties.

How will I know I’ve won?
All winners will be notified by phone and by mail after each draw and at the end of the season.

What are the prizes?
There are several types of prizes to be awarded. The Grand prizes at the end of the season are as follows:

Early Bird Prize:
One draw will be made from entries completed by 8PM March 21, 2011 and one for April 4, 2011. The winners will receive $100 each.

Round Leader Prizes :
Following each round completed in the Playoffs, ROTARY AURORA MEGA HOCKEY POOL will rank all Picklists in the contest based upon their current point total.
Prizes of $100 will be awarded to the top Entrant with the highest accumulated point total at the end of each playoff round.
There will be a total of three prizes awarded: one for each round of the playoffs.

Why are playoff prizes smaller ?
We have limited ticket sales of 500 for the playoff pool so your odds are better.

When is the deadline?
The deadline is April 15th, 2011 or when 500 entries have been received. All the players points will count from the beginning of the playoffs.

How come my team name doesn't show up exactly like I entered on my order form?
There was a limitation to the number of characters we could enter for Team Names, therefore names were shortened to fit the space available. If you have a problem with the name as it is set up and would like to contact us, please email megahockeypool@shaw.ca.

What if I don't remember my Team Name? How can I check the Standings?
Email us with your "real" name that you used when you registered and we can email you back with your Team name.

I have submitted my entry and I still don't see it on the website how come?
It takes a week or more for us to process all the entries so please be patient. We are getting the teams onto the web as fast as we can. All the players point will count from the beginning of the season.
